Production Blog
After all this time we finally got some film together from the group. On Tuesday we were all free to go to the gym and film. As I have stated in my previous blogs, planning the meetup was the hardest part. Finding a day when we all weren't busy was a challenge, fortunately we managed to work it out. After filming some footage we realize that the easy part is putting the footage together, this is due to you not relying on others.
The transportation of the group member to the gym was easy enough, and went as planned. We coordinated this by me driving to Lance's house where I picked up Kevin and Lance. We then went to a condominiums gym, where we filmed our exercises and poses. Overall this took about an hour at the gym, if we didn't plan our scenes we probably would have been at the gym for up to three hours. Once we shot our scenes we did not waste time editing together, instead we edited individually in our own time.
Although we didn't mind editing individually, we saw our Media Studies class as an opportunity to edit together and fine tune things. Our next class after the day we filmed, Tuesday, was actually the day after on Wednesday. Unfortunately Lance did not come to class so we didn't get to share as much and discuss like we were planning. In terms of my clips, I have about everything I need film wise, from here I just need to edit and overlay the sound. As for my group mates, I know that film wise they should be good, but I do not know where they are in terms of editing and blog posts.
From here the plan is quite simple, I am going to finish my blogs, my editing, and help my group mates finish theirs. The rest of this week looks pretty busy, so I plan on being fully completed by next week. My estimation is that I only need about 2 hours to do my editing, this has me on track to be done way before the deadline. Once my editing is done, I am going to use my extra time to look back on my production and make changes as necessary. Along with this I will make sure that my group mates and I have productions that are streamlined, this means we will not have any inconsistencies.
