My last blog update consisted of my failure to save my footage, resulting in me having to re-film. My hope was that the re-shoot would be easier than the original, and ideally better. This was further than true, re-filming made me question whether I should change multiple parts of my production. Some would think this was beneficial for the actual production, but instead of it being productive critique it just took more time and energy. Since it took more time than I originally thought, it caused the mess-up to throw me more off plan than originally thought. Although the timeline was offset, I powered through the issue and resolved it, I have one whole video filmed, and a photo shot. Along with the actual media being completed, I learned from my prior mistake and saved all the media to a hard drive. Doing this insures my footage is saved, no matter the issue. This leaves me to doing at least one more video, and one more photo according to my original plan, but given the offset of timeli

  My production for the first video was completed, filming was done and the video was completed. At this point I had one video and one photo done. This was all until I faced an obstacle, my film deleted. From the photo to the video, they were both erased from my archive. I assume this was due to me not saving it, but this results in me having to refilm, and re-edit the footage. At first I couldn't believe that it deleted, I kept reloading the page in hopes it would pop back up, but no luck. I then thought about whether I saved it or not, although I usually would save film, it is the only reason I can think of for why it deleted. Given this situation, I must stay on the timeline to be done by the deadline for my commercial. I will refilm and re-edit all in one day, this is necessary for me to stay on track. Once I am done with this, I will save the film to a hard-drive. Doing this will be a worst case scenario back up for me, in case the film gets deleted again, for whatever possibl

 Setting up my commercial has been a multi-part process.  From taking the actual videos and photos, to editing them and putting them together. To balance the amount of time I'm putting into the editing and filming, I have worked equal amount of time on both. So far, it has gotten me to only really having done 1 photo and a video that is not fully edited. I realized that the actual set up and execution of these clips requires a lot more time than I thought it would. Luckily, I started on this early and I at least have a blue print for the rest of my commercial. I plan on finishing the editing for my first video, I will do this by editing the video directly from my phone. Once I am done with that, I will start on m second photo, which will be a photo of me ripping up homework. I will produce this scene by labelling a piece of homework, ripping it in half and holding it up high. I am not sure yet as to where I will do this, but perhaps outside.  My commercial will be one that includes, videos, photos and a song. The use of visuals and sound will be used to portray who I am as a person. For the videos I will show me playing basketball, to show that I like to play for fun. I will also use video of me talking to people and socializing. Media of me communicating and connecting with others will be used to show that I enjoy socializing. The same goes for my dislikes, including homework. To show my distaste for homework I will use media of me ripping up a piece of paper labeled homework. This will best portray me, showing that I will go to any length to not do homework. Another photo I will use will be one of me eating, since I like to eat and go out to restaurants. For the food, I will probably use one of my favorite foods, or just a snack that I commonly eat.  In order to make my Commercial, I will do research and plan out my commercial. For my commercial I am going to base it all around me. I will do this by giving in-depth detail on who I am, my likes, my dislikes, and my hobbies. To enhance my commercial I will be using visuals such as videos, a song, and photos. These sources of visualization will be curated to who I am, and I will use ones that are best tailored to who I am. Doing this will give the reader and visualizer an even better view of who I am as a person. First, for my song I am going to pick a song that I like, and that I feel is most me. For the song I will pick "Hall of fame" by The Script. I am picking this song because it is all about pushing through any obstacles in life and achieving the highest of goals. This mentality and mindset reflects who I am because this is my view on life. It may not always be easy, but you must push through, doing this will bring you to the goals you most want to achieve.  I am Julian, I like to keep myself busy and do things that I find fun and entertaining. I like going out after school, whether that's to hangout with my friends or family. When being out and about I like to eat, so this usually includes me going to a restaurant or a shop. If my day doesn't consist of this, I like to go outside instead, sometimes playing basketball. I also like to wash cars, so if I ever am bored, I will offer my parents to wash their car. Over the summer I went to the beach a lot, which is one of my favorite activities. I also like surfing and snorkeling. Over the summer I also drove a lot, which is something I like doing. Driving has been something I've always wanted to do, so being able to drive and have a license is really exciting to me. One of my favorite things to do in general is making people laugh.
