Pitch Blog-FT
For my video I am working by myself. Given that I have no group I have complete control over what I am filming and when. I find this to be a major advantage, this is due to my past experiences with group videos. My last assignment I worked with a group, having to work around everyone's schedule threw everything off track. Being so close to the deadline caused us to rush the final product, therefore doing things incorrectly.
You may ask, how will you working alone avoid the issues you faced with your last assignment? First, now I don't have to wait on anyone else for their schedule or their video. Second, I know how I work best, this means that working independently is the most optimal for the final product. I will specifically benefit due to the type of scenes I am doing. For example, the scenes will all take place in locations that I am familiar with and am able to get to.
My initial ideas for my scenes include an overall skit of me playing someone that is paranoid, going through life. To play this thoroughly I will include voice over of inner-thoughts from the character. Having this be the main struggle of the character is quite simple to display without a group. I will include scenes of me at the park, basketball courts, and even in private businesses. I find this role of paranoia interesting to play due to the knowledge I have on it. The background knowledge I have on it will make the product the best it can be.
Some of my ideas for where these scenes will be shot may change. Depending on circumstances I may decide to film a scene at the gym. If I were to do this it would be me doing bicep curls and thinking that the people around me are judging me. Although the scenes themselves are subject to change, the overall concept won't. The skit will be about the main character being paranoid and constantly thinking that the world is judging him.
